There is a great feeling of nostalgia to be found in riding a Heybike Cityscape electric bike. With its old-fashioned charm, the Heybike Cityscape electric bicycle will give you a ride that is both efficient and environmentally friendly. It has a sleek, minimal design that can be customized with various colors. This bike is perfect for city living with its rear rack making it possible to carry groceries or other items you need around the city. It arrives 80% assembled, making it one of the most convenient bicycles on the market. The simple frame and retro-looking handlebars give this bike a timeless look that will never go out of style. The clean wire wraps and internally routed cables make this bicycle aesthetically pleasing as well as optimal for performance.
This 350w bicycle comes with a pre-installed rear bike rack and fenders which make it capable of reaching a top speed of 19mph. It’s not the most powerful bike, but it’s a smooth, reliable ride that’s fitted with 26” tires that are suitable for daily commuting. The range, however, is not too far, is still pretty decent with a maximum distance of roughly 20 to 40 miles with a 36 volt 10 amp battery. In addition, for the cost of just $799 retail, you get much more than what you pay for. There are three different pedal assist settings and a 7-speed Shimano shifter. The LCD display is large and easy to read, with lots of helpful information available.
As an avid cyclist, comfort is an integral part of my cycling experience and I like the upright body position that is offered by a more relaxed bike. This Cityscape is designed to be comfortable on bumpy paths, with a suspension fork with lockout and preload adjust, swept-back handlebars to keep you upright during the ride, and an adjustable angle stem that improves the bike’s fit for people of many different sizes. The padded grips and oversized comfort saddle with suspension offer a lot of support, making it very easy to ride. Riding is also very comfortable and relaxing, making it perfect for riding as a family at the beach or neighborhood or just taking leisurely spins through the neighborhood.
The Pedal Assist sensor is water and dust-resistant, meaning that it will be able to withstand the wear and tear of your commute, and it is positioned behind the chainring for protection. The device performed well, starting quickly as I pedaled and cutting out almost immediately. The trigger throttle performed as expected. The integrated lights on the Heybike are really great because they run off of the main battery and are designed to be easy to replace if something goes wrong. They come in two varieties: a blinking mode and a bright braking mode. The rear light also has a blinking mode that is great for more visibility in traffic. They have managed to stay ahead of their cheaper rivals and show great potential in the market. This has been achieved even with some higher-priced electric bikes out there.
In order to power the bike on, you need to first switch the battery lock to the ON position and then hold the M button on the display. This two-step process adds some time but also makes it impossible for you to forget your steps because you will have time to walk over and press the M button if need be. These are large and heavy bikes, which means that the frame may need to be reinforced for strength in order to guarantee the maximum weight capacity of the rack. Doing so will also weigh up to 59 pounds without a front rack or anything else. The Cityscape has a minimum saddle height of 32 inches, a maximum saddle height of 37 inches, and a stand-over height of 19 inches. A rider between 5’4″ and 6’5″ should be able to comfortably ride it.
Overall, Heybike is doing a very good job of making a solid step-thru cruiser electric bike. The components are all upgraded and safety has been taken into consideration, but the bike is still beautiful and priced fairly. Cityscape does a great job of appealing to the needs of the target market that it is targeting, which is not limited to people who are looking for an expensive bicycle. Although it is a large-sized item, this electric bike still manages to be an impressive product that has a lot going for it. The remarkable thing about this bike is the $799 price tag – unheard of in the electric bike market. This makes Cityscape an excellent choice for anyone who is looking to explore the world in a new way.
