After extensive research, I have compiled a list of the best E-bikes on the market for people who are looking for the best possible value and quality. After much research, I have found that Ancheer has consistently been regarded as one of the top brands in this industry and is on many “Best-of” lists that are available including Best E-bikes under $1000.
So I took the plunge and bought the 500 watt/36-volt Ancheer Mountain Bike. The bike arrived early, was easy to assemble and all I had to do was mount the handlebars, put the front tire on, and plug in the battery. Anyone can do it with videos available online. After charging the battery, I took the bike out for a ride the following day. As soon as I got on the bike, I knew it was going to live up to the hype. With the Pedal Assist on and a little bit of momentum, the bike rockets up hills with ease, and the gearless design means that it doesn’t hurt my knees as other bikes have in the past. I have had the chance to ride my electric bike for at least 3 days in a row with a full battery, lasting about 10 miles per ride and I love it!
I’ve had the bike for about a month now and have ridden it 125 miles during that time. I’ve added rear storage for groceries, and a handlebar case so that I can take my phone with me if I want to listen to music or podcasts on the go. It is also very comfortable to ride because the seat is adjustable. As you think about buying this mountain bike, my advice is to take the time to explore the various YouTube videos that have been created and find out what people have to say about it. Read all of the reviews here, and if it sounds like a good option for you, go ahead and make your purchase. I am pleased with my decision. Additionally, if you are a technically challenged individual and would like to avoid any potential complications in the installation process, then I would highly recommend that you invest in bike assembly and setup by the technician. I was able to ride this bike less than one hour after receiving it from the assembly process, but I did have to make modifications to the brakes and gears. It was a little outside of my skill set, but that’s nothing that didn’t take a few minutes to figure out. If you’re not comfortable with doing this, you might want to spend the additional money.
I recently completed a 750-mile. I still love my bike. The only issue I’ve had is with flat tires. After my fifth flat, I upgraded my tires, tubes, and liners and added tire liners because I had gotten too much riding done on suburban bike lanes instead of using dedicated bike trails. Since doing those things, I’ve had no more flats.
As I’ve started to use my electric bike on a day-to-day basis, I’ve found myself becoming an expert at managing battery life and range. I have only had to run out of juice once at mile 23 of a 25-mile ride. I was able to make it back to my car without any assistance from the electric motor. I recently discovered that the tires on my bike are at 40 PSI, which is not ideal for either minimizing rolling resistance or maximizing traction. The other time I was experimenting with using that max electric support. They really need to be between 60-65 PSI to get the most out of the bike. My average speed was significantly higher than normal throughout most of the race until the battery died around mile 18. Typically I ride 18 – 20 miles with power to spare. The longest distance ridden on a bicycle to date is 28 miles, even with power left to spare. If you make a habit of coasting when possible and rarely relying on electric support, then you can cover the approximate distance of 28-30 miles or better.
It’s important to pay attention to your lights on the bike. You won’t find that it takes very long before you are reduced down to five lit-up lights. It takes a while longer before you get down to three, and it often happens that four or even five will turn back on if you pedal harder or come across a section of the path where you can coast. When you get down to only 2 lights and light 3 doesn’t come back when you coasting, you don’t have a lot of battery left. It’s better to be in sight in light of 1 light.
Whether your experience is good or bad will vary heavily based on the terrain you are cycling on, the amount of effort you put into cycling, and the weather conditions. I have been cycling for 700 miles and I am feeling good at the moment. Having that extra boost of power going uphill can be a godsend.
In conclusion, the bike was a great purchase. It looks really nice, and it rides very smoothly. I have no regrets about my purchase whatsoever!
